welcome to the ride north end blog!

After intending to create a blog for quite a while (but mulling over topics, angles and post frequency, etc)  here it is!

This morning between classes at ride, I was talking with a rider about skincare products after overhearing that she had had a reactionary run-in with a facial peel from Sephora, leaving her skin red and irritated. As luck would have it, I had tried a new facial peel the night before and was immensely happy with my product choice and the result, I gave the rider the product info with my endorsement.  

Around that time i realized that a blog doesn't have to be an entirely cohesive sequence of thematic and strategic posts. One of our monthly posts will be on "Awesome Sh*t"- i.e., products and services that we are loving that we would like to share with the ride community. 

It's one thing to think about doing something, and another to just bite the bullet and ACT. Last week one of my favorite podcasts , The Industrial Strength Show , launched an episode called "Think Less and DO More!"

Often there is so much time spent on reading, plotting, researching, and comparing that we can overlook the actual performance of the task itself. As I researched fitness and lifestyle blogs trying to analyze their strengths, weaknesses and successes, my mind began to clout and a sense of overwhelm took hold of me. Decision fatigue is the enemy of the go-getter.  

 JUST DO THE GODDAMN THING!
